Lift off the lower body trim. Use caution not to brake the tabs on the trim when removing it. Feed the 12-pin connector and brake light wires on the LGT-396 harness from the battery compartment through the through-hole where the main harness runs to the front of the cart (below the F/R switch loca-tion). Feed the brake light wires through the. This Golf Cart Brake Light Switch is designed for installation on ALL GOLF CARTS, INCLUDING CLUB CAR, EZ-GO & YAMAHA GOLF CARTS. It's very easy for regular folks to install to the existing brake pad to turn your rear lights into brake lights.Option to add brake harness to allow installation on any cart with existing 3-wire taillights. As a result, Club Car Precedent golfcarts made after 2008.5 need a basic wiring harness. So, for example, if you own a 2009 Club Car Precedent, you would not want to order a 2004-2008.5 light kit as it will not come with the necessary harness to hook up your lights. Instead, you'd want to opt for the 2008.5+ kit.

Club Car Precedent Wiring Diagram - 2005 club car precedent wiring diagram, 2006 club car precedent wiring diagram, 2007 club car precedent wiring diagram, Every electrical arrangement is composed of various diverse components. Each component ought to be placed and linked to different parts in specific way. Otherwise, the structure won't function as it ought to be. To be able to make sure that the electrical circuit is constructed properly, Club Car Precedent Wiring Diagram is required. How can this diagram assist with circuit building?

The diagram provides visual representation of the electric structure. On the other hand, this diagram is a simplified version of the structure. This makes the procedure for assembling circuit easier. This diagram provides information of circuit components as well as their placements.

Components of Club Car Precedent Wiring Diagram and A Few Tips

There are two things that will be present in any Club Car Precedent Wiring Diagram. The first element is emblem that indicate electric element from the circuit. A circuit is usually composed by numerous components. The other thing you will locate a circuit diagram would be traces. Lines in the diagram show exactly how each element connects to a another.

The positions of circuit components are comparative, not accurate. The arrangement is also not plausible, unlike wiring schematics. Diagram only shows where to place component at a spot relative to other components within the circuit. Although it is exemplary, diagram is a good basis for anyone to construct their own circuit.

One thing that you must learn before studying a circuit diagram is the symbols. Every symbol that's shown on the diagram shows specific circuit component. The most common components are capacitor, resistorbattery. Additionally, there are other elements such as ground, switch, engine, and inductor. It all rides on circuit that is being constructed.

As stated earlier, the lines at a Club Car Precedent Wiring Diagram represents wires. At times, the cables will cross. But, it does not mean connection between the cables. Injunction of 2 wires is usually indicated by black dot at the junction of 2 lines. There'll be principal lines that are represented by L1, L2, L3, etc. Colors are also used to differentiate wires.

Ordinarily, there are two main sorts of circuit links. The first one is known as series link. It is the simpler type of relationship as circuit's components are placed inside a specified line. Because of that the electrical current in each component is similar while voltage of this circuit is complete of voltage in each component.

Parallel connection is more complex compared to series one. Unlike in series connection, the voltage of each element is comparable. It is because the element is directly linked to power source. This circuit contains branches that are passed by distinct electrical current amounts. The present joins together when the branches match.

There are lots of items that an engineer needs to pay attention to when drawing wirings diagram. To start with, the symbols used in the diagram ought to be accurate. It should represent the specific element necessary to build an intended circuit. When the symbol is incorrect or unclear, the circuit won't function because it's supposed to.

It is also highly advised that engineer brings positive supply and damaging supply symbols for better interpretation. Ordinarily positive supply emblem (+) is located over the line. Meanwhile the negative source symbol is place under it. The current flows from the left side to right.

Along with this, diagram drawer is advised to limit the number of line crossing. The line and component placement should be designed to decrease it. But if it's unavoidable, use universal symbol to indicate if there's a junction or when the lines aren't really connected.

Because you can see drawing and translating Club Car Precedent Wiring Diagram may be complicated job on itself. The information and suggestions which were elaborated above should be a fantastic kick start, though. Club Car Precedent Wiring Diagram

How To Install Club Car Precedent Brake Light Switches

My friend and I each recently bought two 2009 Club Car Precedents (IQ) - 6 x 8volt Trojan batteries. Instead of just paying to have someone at a local shop install things like lift kit, tires/wheels, light kit, etc., we decided that we would do some research and do it ourselves. We also thought this would be a good way for us to learn our new carts. So, I bought the MadMax basic light kit and, after a bit of a learning curve, was able to install the basic light kit (dash switch, front bumper/light, and rear lights (w/ bucket harness). Not too bad... except the instructions said there should have been a 'blue wire' at battery #3 to connect the positive end of the battery hook-up (I hooked up the negative black bullet connector of battery hook-up wire to the black bullet connector from behind battery #4 (towards the rear of battery compartment). Getting power was relatively easy .... I just used my voltmeter from the black bullet connector and found out which battery's positive was 16V -- ring connector and I'm good -- all lights work. I realize this will drain these two batteries more than the bank, but I plan on connecting a converter or reducer in a month or so. I still don't know why the MadMax instructions said there would be another 'blue connector' in the battery connector.... the only one i saw was the one off Batt #1 and i know that would give me 48V and that's no good. So, if anybody knows about this mysterious second blue connector, I'd love to know what i'm missing.
But, the real question is on my buddy's cart (same as mine). He bought a phantom body kit (he liked the separate headlights instead of the one light bar), but it also came with a premium light kit and harness (bucket harness, taillights, headlights, turn signal, brake light kit, etc.). We hooked everything up and everything worked except the brake lights. We spent hours trying to get the brakes to work. The diagram with the delay and circuit breaker were not great, and when we tested it with a voltmeter, we were getting power (~14V) from the black wire, but nothing from the other two. If anyone has a better picture or instructions on that part (i.e. from the brake switch through the delay and circuit breaker) it would be much appreciated.
Finally, he went out to mess with it again today and told me there was a grey bullet connector not plugged into anything on the new light kit harness behind the dash. I told him that on my MadMax Basic Light Kit, it had a grey wire with a red bullet connector that simply connected to the same color on the existing harness. Told him to look for it on the existing harness as it might be hidden with the other wires. Well, apparently he found it and connected it. He didn't think anything of it until he took the cart for a test drive and found that it ran really slow. He got back home and noticed it was in TOW. He switch it to RUN and everything was fine. So, he unplugged that grey bullet and it ran fine in RUN and did NOT run in TOW - back to normal. The only thing we can think of in looking at the Illustrated Parts List ('09-11) is that somehow he linked in/bypassed the TOW switch. Anybody have any idea on this one ?
Sorry for the long post.... Just trying to get to know these carts better. Seems like chasing a rabbit down a hole on his brake issue though. I'm going to buy the MadMax Ultimate Upgrade Kit so i get my turn signals, brakes, and horn and see if i have any issues. I think his might be related to the harness and kit that came with the Phantom Kit. Thanks again.
